Quick Guide to Indianapolis
Indianapolis, Indiana, or just call it Indy for short, is the largest city in Indiana. Founded in 1821, the Treaty of St. Mary’s transferred control from indigenous tribal populations to the United States. Since then it has transitioned from a manufacturing and transportation hub to a prominent part of the civil rights movement to its current mix of wholesale trade, finance, insurance and of course sports.
Home to the Colts, Pacers, Fever and the Indy 500, this city knows how to do sports. It also knows how to host a State Fair. Every summer the 250-acre Indiana State Fairgrounds turns into a massive event with carnival rides, food stands, animals, tractors, Lego farms and even a knight in shining armor.
OurBus is proud to offer trips connecting Indy with Chicago, Bloomington, Lafayette and Zionsville along our Hoosier route.
